Nairobi, Lake Nakuru National Park, Eldoret (Rift Valley) & Kakamega – “Orphanage & Hospital Mission”
ITINERARY
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be met and given all the assistance you will need on arrival. You will then transfer to your Nairobi Hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner and Overnight at the Panari Hotel – BB
Early in the morning, you will depart Nairobi and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley Soda Ash Lakes. The Lakes abundance of algae attracts the vast quantity of Flamingoes that famously line the shores. The Lake lies to the South of Nakuru in the Rift Valley and is protected by the Lake Nakuru National Park. The ecosystem of Lake Nakuru comprises of the lake, surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy grassland. The park provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the White Rhinos and buffaloes. A variety of terrestrial birds including Flamingos are found in this park. In the afternoon, a game drive in Lake Nakuru and visit the Baboon Cliff which is a spectacular view point of the Lake.
Dinner and Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge – FB
An early morning game drive and return to the Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast check out
and depart to spend the day in Nakuru visiting different orphanage homes/organizations. Begin your day with a visit to the Saint Theresa Home of Hope – The HIV children’s home is located on the outskirts of Lake Nakuru. The home offers care for children (Girls), who are infected with HIV/AIDS virus. Most of these children have a poor background as well, which makes the situation even more difficult for them. Do a lunch break then in the afternoon visit the walk centre – a not for profit organization committed to helping the children and families of the Hilton Slum area, thereafter visit the Nakuru baby orphanage for the afternoon. Spending time and energy in this place will indeed prove to be a truly noble endeavor, and provide hope for a better world for these children. Late afternoon depart to drive further in still within the Rift Valley to the town of Eldoret.
Dinner and Overnight at Boma Hotel – HB
After your breakfast in the morning, you will depart to spend the day with the children at ‘His will
orphanage’ – a Christian based organization under the Living Water Church of God catering for the Orphans and needy children in the society. Spend the morning getting involved in the activities they go through and discover the challenges they have in their daily life. Have a short session with the Pastor who will take you through the history of the orphanage and all activities introduced to offer the children hope and a future. Depart and have lunch at your hotel and the afternoon drive to Soy town – where you will visit Patty’s Orphanage. Patty’s orphanage was started by Pastor Ben through a vision from God. The orphanage caters for orphaned children specifically found from the surrounding community. Spend the afternoon with these children enjoying various activities with them and have a short session with the Pastor. Based on your area of expertise or ministry, you will share your knowledge with them to enable
put a smile and hope on this children’s face. After a fulfilled day you will drive back to your hotel for dinner.
Dinner and Overnight at Boma Hotel – FB
This day, you will start with Hospital mission. You will visit the Moi Referral Hospital where you do missionary work with children who are HIV victims. The doctor in charge in charge will take you through the system and conditions of the children and what they are doing. Lunch at you hotel and the afternoon will be spend at Tumaini and Jua Kali orphanages – both pioneered by Ben and Mary Bahati under the Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church. You will have time to meet Ben and Mary and have a session with them at the church. Later evening return to the Hotel for overnight.

Have early breakfast and depart to drive to Kakamega town. Kakamega town in Kenya is known due to its’ unique tradition of “bull fighting” known as matador in certain countries. A traditional and cultural fight organized between 2 bulls from two different competing communities. Arrive in Kakamega town early enough and spend the morning at the Kakamega children’s orphanage – started by the Evangelical Presbyterian church too. A few minutes with Patron about this orphanage would be exciting to listen to. Any ideas, suggestions etc. on improving the homes and the status of the children based on your expertise or ministry will be a big blessing. Later you will depart to check in at the Golf Hotel Kakamega for Lunch. After lunch you will depart for a traditional cultural excursion to the “crying stone!” This is a unique feature associated with beliefs and myths by the community of a rock that flows with an endless
stream of water flowing from the top to the bottom and thus the name “Crying stone”. Enjoy the adventure as a local guide takes you through part of this community! Late evening return to your hotel for overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at the Golf Hotel – FB
You have an option of flying back to Nairobi or go by road. You will check out of your hotel and depart to drive/ fly to Nairobi. On arrival “Full of lasting safari memories!” you will be dropped to own onward plans
